View Full Version : ...from Fossils to Flux, By Ted Dillard

02 May 2011, 0832

…from Fossils to Flux puts together all the pieces that you need to start your own electric motorcycle conversion. I’ve tried to give you the big picture, with all the details you need to understand the systems, your options, and how to go about making the decisions you’re going to face along the way. With the help of some great folks – MOST notably, Noah Podolefsky, as my Technical Editor, to help check facts and flesh out concepts, I think we got it done. We have a book that, regardless of the direction you want to take your project, will point the way.

Just finished reading this guy. Very well done Ted. Of course as a knowledgeable El Moto guy I can have some complaints :), but for newbs it will be a very nice introduction. It's a straightforward first hand account of how an El Moto can change the way you see and ride motorcycles.

If I get some time Ted I'll look through it more closely and PM you with any nitty-gritty feedback that only an engineer would bother with ;)

From one El Moto'er to another I highly recommend this book if you're new to the cause. Great stuff Ted

Just got my copy yesterday so I havn't had time to really sit down with it but liked what I saw flipping through it.

P.S. The wife liked the title, so it must be attractive to people with no interest in riding bikes.
