View Full Version : Brutus 2.0 Initial tests

06 January 2012, 1840
It took a couple of days to get the pack balanced but I finally got to test a 0-60mph time today. I set the Zilla for 250a and 84v to the motor and pulled 61mph in 400ft and just under 4.8 seconds. I didn't think much of it until I did a little checking on 0-60 times and now I am quite impressed so far :)2240

Here is the link to a list of cars and their respective times
Here are motorcycles with in the same class

As production moves closer it is really nice to start with the best quality components and I am proud to be using Galfer brake systems on every future Brutus that gets built. I had a great time when they came out to the shop to see all the good things that are happening and I really love the article they posted on their website.

You can check it out here

"But officer its electric, it can't go that fast"

Was he made of liquid metal and asking questions about John Connor?

Seriously though, did you get a ticket?

LOL, Actually he is a friend and was just visiting us on his lunch break. He is giving us some input on the creature comforts and performance LEO's would like to see in the upcoming larger patrol version of Brutus.

Love the burly streetfighter look, the craftsmanship, and the exposed electromechanicals. Nice work! Is the shifting clutchless? If so, is that something that can be inherently done with electric drive, or is there something special to it?
