Agreed. (even though I don't care for the Motard genre)

Moved this thread to the BRD subforum.

If you like the BRD and you have about an hour to spare, you really need to watch/listen to this seminar given by one of the co-founders of the bike. He gives a very interesting discussion about their business and design decisions and electric motorcycles in general. :)

Hi folks, Marc from BRD here. Glad some of you caught the video.

It took me a little while to find this forum, but now that I'm here I'd love to be a part of the conversation. I'll try to pop in every once in awhile and do my best to answer questions, gather your feedback and ideas on the our bike, technology, etc. and just find out more about how you lot are using (or plan to use) your electrics.

Welcome, sir! Glad you found us.

I'm watching the video right now, and even just into it to 8min, I love the "want vs need" point. That's always been my driving force... not the rationality behind EVs and all that, but the feel of the powertrain. Totally irrational. :D

...but it's what people respond to, in the overwhelming majority of conversations I've had when showing the bike.

Great stuff!

edit: LOVE the point about the popularity of the '70s bikes, too. :D I have a 1971 vintage, not street legal cafe build with drum brakes... and I wouldn't do it any other way.

Shameless, self promotion... if any of you have subscriptions to HFL, their recent review of our bike after a test ride on Malibu's Mulholland Highway hit the right notes:

The BRD RedShift SM is absolutely terrifying, in all the right ways.

And thatís what I think the real story with the RedShift is óitís the first production-destined motorcycle to ever realize the full potential of electric motivation and, in doing so, demonstrate a clear superiority to its ICE predecessors.

just a little bump for this recent road ride with Hell For Leather magazine. It wasn't planned, but we met them at The Snake in Malibu and I couldn't say no to a couple of laps.
