I know not everyone is a fan of evtv.me, but in last show there is a guy testing the new grey cell from Calb, CA180FI, he manages to pull 1800 amps from it and the voltage sag is not so bad at all.

Worth watching really, quite dangerous, kind of "don't try this at home kids", here on YouTube , jump to 11 min, a bit slow for the action to start, but worth the wait, especially at the end when is trying to put a wrench into his "testing rig"

Anybody planning to use these cells ?

3.8C discharge is a special feat to achieve now?

At 25:50 he pulls ~1800A (10C) with sag to 2.8V. Not bad. That's about what my GBS 60Ah will do (10C, 2.7-2.8V).

You're right , I even forgot about it, I corrected my post.

But I'm not sure he pushed them to the limit. I think Jack Rickard will test a smaller pack.

Then I asked myself, what can I do with 1'800 amps , my controller/motor cannot handle it. But then, it also means 120 ah cells could handle 2 motors I guess ?

He shorted them with a wrench. That's more or less the limit.

They also got pretty close to LVC of 2.5V (I'm guessing that's LVC for these cells), so they probably don't have much left.

Interesting test though. I'd like to see what the battery temperature was doing after running at 10C for that long.
