Move over boys. The girls are here to kick some ass, and they're not wearing bathing suits.

I really enjoyed meeting them too. Jennifer and Zoe were very approachable. I never got a hint of resentment from anyone regarding whether they belonged there. They were just two racers. And both have been on the podium this year.

Women have been racing motorcycles for years. Its no harder for them then a man. The biggest challenge to any racer is their own guts and MONEY. I race motorcycles at NHMS. There are a few women there they've past and beaten me and the whole field of men well some have. Check out Angelle Sampey she is a former NHRA pro stock motorcycle champion.
oh and some of the women of the LRRS

ahhhh, the familiar (male perspective) refrain. :)

I am trying to put numbers together, but I think we can agree it's largely a male-dominated sport. Unlike other sports, though, a woman's physical size is actually an advantage, rather than a disadvantage, i'd reckon. Agreed- it's about money, mostly, but getting past the barricades and into a sponsor's head may be harder- or easier- for women.

I figure the only way to find out is to ask some women. :D

...stay tuned!

Don't look at it as a male perspective but a racers experience. The world is male dominated be real. I don't see a disagreement here I thought you guys would like to hear some facts. As i said numerous times on the old site I like TTXGP but I wouldn't credit them with starting electric racing or women breaking through in the sport ive been around both scenes too long and seen too much for that. TTXGP is a business venture and quite a great one but it discredits the forebears to credit the PR gurus. Thats likely the real story as to why FIM ditched them.
