Well, that sure is different. Kind of looks like a lady bug. Unfortunately, I think the price is going to limit the number of customers wanting to purchase the Johammer J1.

What a waste. For all the fancy front suspension and bodywork, it's still a hobby horse.

What is with those tyres?

I'll give the Austrians credit for bucking the naked sportbike trend and going for retro-future. Some different lines would make it less goofy looking though.

Hub center steering, hub motor/controller, and 18650s. I love it. But I really don't like the way it looks. Awesome engineering thou

Different sized front and rear tyre. Been there with the RG, never going back.

Here's their website (translated the best Google can do - I like that it translated "battery" to "accumulator").

Still would prefer this bike rather than the zecOO which looks nice like a super bike (and will be expected to act like) but actually isn't.

I tryed that bike last year during the Wave ( 2 of them made al the wave -- the BIIISTA TEAM) , 4 of them openend the guinnes record parade in Zurich.

Now I hope is much better because I think they switched to Sevcon , the two bikes on the wave were equiped with industrial controllers so the motor feeling was horrible , the bike feeling was ok , is a cruiser , very low center of gravity , nice to ride across mountains with no hurry , even if I'm 2 meters tall seating was ok.

Wow! Really interesting body work:confused: I am not sure they are going for a minimalist approach.

Another article about the Johammer. This one says the thing is going into production and includes several photos of the factory and the bike - along with a couple of paragraphs about the device and its specifications and price that are repeated over and over  : http://news.motorbiker.org/blogs.nsf/dx/the-electric-johammer-j1.200-motorcycle-has-gone-into-production.htm

I cant really see this selling, pricing preformance ratio is way off.

Acceleration times make you cry, you could have 3 brammo's or zero's for the same price. Let alone what you could build for that money.
