SVN replied to the thread Honda CX 500 Electric Special.
" It is all working fine, last time i checked... 3 years ago

Now the big question, does anyone want to have the project for free ?

Batteries not included, need them for another project, time and money have another priority, that’s why i am quitting

The front fork needs some tlc, after that, a “RDW” check, and a new registration for electric bike.

Please respond by email: svn001@icloud.com "

" @IsaacW: actually, I found a picture of the cutter I used: http://mariecameronstudio.com/blog/s...-the-techshop/. It was a US Cutter MH1351, at least 34", maybe 50". "

" Unfortunately, I don't remember what type it was. I used whatever was available at the TechShop (RIP) back at the time. Though, it was a bit larger and more industrial than the home machines like the cricut. That's not to say the home machines aren't capable machines themselves, just that the machine I used was somewhat different. Also unfortunately, I haven't used one in years, so I don't know what's available these days. "

" @__Tango what kind of vinyl cutter do you have? Would you recommend it?

I've been looking for a vinyl cutter for a while now. Still I haven't made my mind up.

The net is filled with over hyped product reviews. This is why I didn't make a choice
just yet. Like it's all about how good it is and there's no negatives I can't believe that.

By dumb luck I came across a blog that seems to be legit. I mean the words used there
are harsh and brands get bashed a lot. For example from this list which vinyl cutter
would you recommend?

Any pointers or help will be appreciated. "

Richard230 created the thread Chinese charging stations.
" An article in the business section of my newspaper yesterday, published by Bloomberg News, is titled: "China moves ahead of U.S. about 8-1 in building chargers for electric vehicles". The article states that: "There are almost as many places to charge your electric vehicle in Beijing as there are in the entire United States."

According to the article, China is considering establishing a target that 60% for all automobiles sold by 2035 will be electric powered. By 2040 China's electric fleet may increase to 162 million vehicles, as forecasted by BloombergNEE.

The nation is building at least 20 "EV towns" for carmakers and ancillary industries and it spent more than $30 billion subsidizing EV sales. China accounts for more than half of global EV sales.

By the end of last month China had 466,101 public charging points, according to the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance. That includes more than 54,000 charging stations in Beijing alone. By comparison, there were 60,652 electric stations in the U.S. as of June 25, according to BNEF. California has the most of any state with 19,000 total, or about the same amount as China adds in an average month.

Globally, there could be as many as 20 million public charging points installed by 2030, the International Energy Agency forecasts. "

" Got it. It was John Wild. I think an early TTXGP bike - the thing couldn't handle the torque.

His comment was (just now) that it might be worthwhile on a small (moped like) bike, but that doesn't make sense to me - again, if you replace the motor/CVT with a bigger motor, you get more betterer performance.

OH LORD we're not walking back into this discussion are we? LOL "

" Well gee. "Harley Davidson has halted production on the LiveWire, shortly after the first electric Harley came on sale. Though sales of the $30,000 bike had been slower than expected, the reason for the halt has to do with at-home charging...."
