Good luck with that. Do the people who think up stuff like that have any idea how long it takes to recharge a motorcycle-size battery using solar cells of a size that are typically installed on a home roof? And if they are thinking that you only need sunlight to power a motorcycle and do not need a rechargeable battery then I hope all of their travel is downhill.

You gotta love politicians for their ability to make new technology sound so simple and easy. "

" Haha! You're welcome. It's fun and I can remember a lot about how my build made me feel, even though I never got to V2.0.

Good luck!

It's a great setup I've used on a few builds, and sold to multiple customers. It's pretty easy to set up and wire. You made a good choice.

Simple and robust once you take the time to wire it up neatly.
Also I've had email exchange with Ian (Hooper) who's the man behind it and he's both responsive and helpful.
I have done same email exchange with him (Ian Hooper) as well which is a huge support for this setup. I'll keep that in mind and bounce ideas off of you when I get to that point.

Do you have a build you've documented by chance? "

You can add a shim if its too far out. Maybe the hub spacers have to be re-made a notch wider?
I re-did the 3d design already, it only took a few minutes.
That's why I made it out of plastic the first time; so that I could test fit before having it machined out of aluminum.
Now I just have to wait for it to print again. "

" That's a very popular question. To which I reply, enough to cover the cost of completing this one and building another with a crappy exchange rate from US to AU to purchase the parts. Also some workshop upgrades to assist in building the next one. Honestly, not enough for the effort I've put in but at least I'll have enough to complete the next and better equipment. I purchased a plasma cutter and made the required changes to my CNC mill to fit it and get it working. But again, Im looking for information on what batteries you guys are using these day.
