You might not find too many front suspensions in good shape, but most rear suspension parts should be OK.
That makes sense in retrospect.
A salvage yard was my first thought...
Unfortunately, Oregon does not let motorcycle salvage yards allow public access for whatever reason.
Maybe after this covid crap has died down I will look around in Washington or Idaho.

Right now I am trying to find a local machinist who can modify a couple pieces, but it is depressing how most of the machine shops around portland are just gone.
They used to be all over the place here...

I will post some pictures and a more detailed post on what I am trying to accomplish this weekend if I can. "

" I've got a spare 96V DeltaQ QuiQ charger for sale, left over from a project that isn't happening. This charger is designed for battery pack voltages of 96V nominal, and it's programmed with Lithium algorithms already. The 96V chargers are no longer produced and harder to find. This is brand new, but not in the original box.

" That's fair, getting another swingarm isn't a big deal. It seems to me like QSmotor is the only real source for these types of hub motors, or am I missing something? "

" Just remove the swingarm, wheel and components and store them to put back on. You can find a swingarm that will fit and modify the new replacement one that you find, as long as you dont have to modify the frame too much. I suspect that you will have to do some welding/modifying to the frame, but that can probably be done so you can revert back to original easily enough. "

" Maybe my wording wasn't great. It's not that fabrication bothers me. Of course I will have to do plenty of fabrication, from the motor mount to the battery box to the battery itself. I do appreciate the link to that thread though, it's one of the better documented conversions I've seen.

But I want what I fabricate to bolt to the existing frame without modifying it. It's not that mounting a caliper bracket or modifying the swing arm is difficult, it's that it requires modification of the swingarm, which I want to avoid. I want to keep the bike as close to stock as possible aside from the necessary drivetrain components.

I did do a little research on possible hub motors, but it seems like more trouble than its worth just to space and sacrifice performance. The only hub motor manufacturer I could find that would match the 12 x 3.5 wheels on my spade is QS motors, but their standard configurations of this size are meant for scooters with more narrow swingarms. So again, I'd either need a whole new swingarm or have to custom order the motor itself. It also seems as though shipping from QS is a big unknown right now. Most of the listings for their parts on aliexpress straight up say will not ship to the US, and it seems that the timeline for stuff that will ship is entirely unknown.

The more I think about this project the more power I want, it seems. I'm now looking at the ME1718. Lots of power in a compact size. "

we read between 410 and 600 A peak amps per module depending on the configuration.
Sorry, you're right - I was reading that all wrong. Thought that bottom line was stats for 10 modules in parallel.
In that case you're golden "
