I thought you airheads only ran with a mean FOS of ~1.5 ;)
No worries on the boldness, welcome to the forum!
Have you happened to stumble across this link?:

not sure if it's the same charger you're referring to, but it may give you some direction...
Nice!
90 volts?! In comparing the spec sheet, I calculated 60volts at a 4:1 gear ratio (13:52) for 45mph. 90v would get me up near the 70mph range which would be nice to say "I can hit xx speed" but if I...
Stevo,
Sounds like we're planning similar drivetrain a. I'll need 60 volts to reach my target goal of 45mph, and the leaf batteries would provide an ample range... But I've yet to calculate...
Stevo,
Thanks for all the links! The zero drivetrain would be nice... As would a Perm 132.
For simplicity's sake, I believe I'm going to go with an ME1003 and an SPM controller.... Unless anyone...
Stevo,
Thanks! Looks like you and I both have a few screws loose, trying to power these MX frames!
I looked into Zero, but didn't know their motors/controllers were available... Definitely...

I've lurked the forums here and elsewhere on the interwebs for many years in hopes of one day being able to perform an EV conversion... And, have finally made it to a point where I'll be able...
No worries, I'm in no rush... calipers would be nice but the wheel set is my primary objective. When you make your ways with it, please do keep me in mind. I'm sending a PM your way.
Ah, what a shame. Unfortunately no work-around connections on my end. Thanks for the link, though!
Understood! I'm currently at 6 bikes in the stable and getting a fair bit of slack! I'm primarily looking for a wheelset & calipers, but I'm always for donor parts for my other projects!
email sent.
I'd definitely be interested in the build diary if he has one, and a link or PM to link for a source for the engine at such a price (I have a project that would be perfect for it, non-ev related.)

Jason, First of all... Welcome to the forums!
I'm in MidTenn as well (Cookeville area) so if there's any bit of aid I can be feel free to let me know.
If you're interested in parting with (or...
I've ordered from soller composites before with great success. Biaxial sleeving is indeed awesome to work with as it can change diameter to suit your needs.
This is insane! Can't wait to see more progress!
