    Hello from Belgium

    Hello people,

I won't disclose my real name, but people usually call me Stark or Doc, i do R&D in 3D printing for a living, i work on some interesting and challenging problems with businesses and institutes here in brussel, some people say that they have a hard time working with me, some others love working with me, but they share on though, i get the job done.

So it's been a while since i started thinking about converting a motorcycle, i am so eager to face the so many challenges that each of you have probably met during your conversion, yet my biggest challenge will be a unique one, convince belgian authorities to accept my bike on the road, as most of you know europe isn't so keen on letting people convert and ride their vehicules, well belgium is a very special case of "Just Don't".

I am looking to convert an old trail bike, my top 3 for the moment are kawa Kle 500, Honda Africa Twin and honda Transalp.

Something inside me is burning telling me to build my own hub motor, there is so much to learn going the DIY way, it will be challenging to get on running, but what is life if one doesn't get pushed out of his confort zone, so i will probably got down that road and build a hub motor for the rear wheel, i will probably just buy a kelly controller, and go lithium ion for batteries, Tesla's new batteries seem really really really interesting.

Given i work on 3d printing i will be able to reprint some of the fairings and visual features of the bike, i will even 3d print some parts of the motor and cast them Aluminium.

So yeah, i am happy i found this forum, i read some of the threads on conversions, i love the path you walked guys, looking forward to share with you guys my experiences.

PS: Anyone in belgium that have done a conversion and managed to get it on the road?
