May be a stupid question, but can you provide some more info on how you would use it? Just curious. Since its DC to DC so it would need a DC source for Charging!
Hi guys. Since my charger crapped out a few weeks ago, I've been on a mission to find multiple alternative charge options for my 11 leaf pack. I dont like keeping my bike parked in the garage now that I can ride it to work!
I admit I've bought my share of chinese crap on ebay, but these booster boards are the real deal. Maybe because they come from Hong Kong??
I've been playing with a few of these using different dc power sources and so far they are standing up strong. They are well designed as they let you limit op current as well as voltage. I think they would be a very light and affordable way to add an on-board charger to my bike, although I'm not sure how they would hold up to road vibrations. So far, I'm very impressed
If anyone is interested:

I'm using a 58 volt dc source to charge 11 leaf modules to 92 volts

Don't do it! I have tried that exact one and a few others for my 98V chevy volt pack.
Your best bet is 2x 48V CC/CV meanwell 600w power supplies adjusted to the voltage you want placed in series.
The chinese DC/DC boosters are not rated for the load we are putting on them. I even when through the hassle of swapping all the diodes/transistors and caps for high rated versions.
I used 2x HEP-320-48A in my build, they have been solid. I should have bought them instead messing with all the other nonsense. One of those, trying to save money, wastes money things.

I had 2 of them self destruct trying to charge 14 leaf modules 114 volts luckily I get a refund
The ones I purchased were rated 900 watt, that's a joke. I set the voltage and current limit so it would put out no more than 600 watts and they blew in 3 minutes - both of them

What were you using for a source.? I had one hooked up to 2 deep cell wheelchair batteries in parallel and the other hooked up to a small 56 v 4amp charger.... both worked fine for 8 hours.
My meanwells just arrived today. These are just for a cheap emergency back up system I didn't have before.

Off topic, I'm looking for something to take variable V variable A input from a ~1kW PV array to charge a 240-250V battery bank. Would these work in series on the output? Are the inputs and outputs isolated? Any ideas?
At this price I don't think they are, but I'll shoot em an email. What kind of voltages and current are you getting from the solar Panels? Maybe if you send the power from the panels through a stabilizing voltage regulator, and then step it up to the 240 v with that output?
