    im interested in that question too - batteries, controller can be sealed and shielded, but what about the motor?

    sooner or later a rider can get caught in the rain...

    motors can handle water, just don't want corrosion to happen. They NEED air cooling unless they're designed for sealed operation (not many are).

    My battery box is going to be sealed for riding in the rain, along with the BMS. The controller, charger, DC-DC are all IP67 sealed, and the motor is AC and just fine in the rain. Fairly easy to replace bearings if they wear.
