Congrats to the Lightning team!!! Awesome stuff.

Let's hope it's confirmed tomorrow, and beaten by Chip, to be beaten again next year. Do we know what class Chip is running his bike under?

Wow, 205.238 mph and only "ridden at quarter-throttle". Congratulations and good luck to team Lightning for their 2nd pass tomorrow.

I wonder if Chip is going to enclose the back of his bike like the lightning bike? Find Chip's bike's classification here.

Ener1 batteries, Remy motor with custom housing and cooling. ~200HP capable system. No clue on gearing

My guess is that they are running a Rinehart Motions 150 or 200kW inverter OR maybe a custom built unit. Complete guess thou

The EV1 motor was their older bike. At the Infineon TTXGP, they were going to field both the new and old bike, but ended up neither were able to make it. Maybe the old one is being decomissioned (since it wasn't even scheduled to be at Laguna Seca), or maybe they're still working on the flux capacitor for that one.
