    Lights done

This little relay box from motogadget is very easy to use and connect,
managed to get all lights connected in no time. You can even program it for some special lights effects, and there is an alarm built in (if the bike is straighten up without starting it).

That is one neat little box. Love the options and the look of your bike.

aahhhhh, holidays, finally i can get some work done....

adjusted the suspension to raise the butt a little, as it was too close to the tire,

then tested this neat little android powered relay board, in video here:

    and bought here:
    http://www.relaypros.com/mm5/merchant.mvc

important to note that controller is not powered with this, only 12 volts system, so lights and BMS. I have a second switch so i can power off the BMS if needed. The controller power will be given through a push button on the bike, which will be working only if the 12volts is on, and the android board is password protected.

A good example of what one can do with a 3d printer,

I had this little electronic board to install on the bike. I did not have much flat space anymore to install the box, so i designed a base that mates with the central tube of the frame. This simple example shows how complex parts can be easily made with additive manufacturing. The part has internal rectangular channels to allow zip ties to slide in, these channels are curved to follow the shape of the tube. Impossible to machine with a traditional CNC, at least not in one component only, and a challenging mold for plastic injection I guess. But it took me just a couple of hours of design and printing.

The video shows the base, then i designed and printed the square box and cover that comes bolted on the base.

one more useful 3d printed part,

i needed to mount my CA below the handlebar, but i did not want to drill anywhere on it as i might change to a better looking display later on,

so i designed this bracket that clamps on the metal part that holds the handlebar, then i used a screw to secure the CA to the 3d printed part,

the 3d printed part is barely visible under the CA, looks good and steady

i'm happy with it. Took a bit of tuning and fixing, but now it's stable. There is a good user forum too, it helped a lot.

    Hi Hugues,

congrats for your almost finished project!

You have probably already answered my following questions somewhere, but I haven't followed your adventure. I have just discovered your Youtube videos and remember seeing some comments about your plans to use Emrax motor(s) very long ago. So, my questions:

    1) How have you decided what batteries to use, where do you buy them, any links?
    2) AC-20 looks a lot heavier, less powerful and not that cheap compared to Emrax, why this choice?
    3) What kind of controller do you use?

Thank you in advance for your comments.

PS: I ask all this because I plan to electrify (at least hybrid) my shifter kart at some point in the future

allright girls, it's been a productive 2 weeks break,

the bike is technically ready to be presented for registration, which we will do in the coming months, as soon as weather permits. That's pretty much 2 years after i had the idea of this project.

Esthetically, the beast starts to resemble what i had in mind at the beginning of my project. But i still have to work on some elements, especially that round thing beneath the seat, i don't quite like it, i'm gonna design some cool air intakes in its place.

I installed the main power switch today, kind of the last main component that was needed for registration, just in time for my birthday, tomorrow :-)

A few non official pics below, just to give an idea. And a short video with the switch.

the main power switch is only active after switching on the bike with my phone, protected by password, so this is my key.
The red LED on the main power switch comes on when the contactor closes, indicating the bike is "live", safety.

@Nicu: Salut. I replied to your message by MP. You'd probably be better to go RC Lipo for your project.
