Here is another article. My favorite line: "Our socks, they are knocked off."

2013 Zero Motorcycles lineup goes faster and farther, charges with CHAdeMO

That heat sink looks sort of familiar:

Joby is about 15 miles from Zero.

Wasn't that the motor in Luke's deathbike? Got to see it at PIR.

LOL @ Frodus... secrets were abound at PIR.

Also I know you guys are all excited about the FX, but I must say I still love the S, when I rode it around, of course I didn't speed at all... .. ... My lips went numb from accelerating. I loved the handling, the speed, and the power delivery.

Regarding the motor, the heat sink anyhow, sure looks like it could be related to the motors from Joby:

Joby and Zero are almost neighbors. Could this be a thing?

    S options

Does anybody know if the ChaDemo chargers are an option on the S or standard? Also, the pillion seat cover I saw on pictures from the Cologne show, also an option and if so what are the price of these? I was thinking of storing cable in the tank pouch but it's a bit small for anything but keys and change, unless there's a very compact cable available out there?

My recollection from reading the 2013 Zero description is that the ChaDemo charger is an extra-cost option. I don't know about the pillion seat cover, though. The seat looked to me like a one-piece seat that accommodated both the rider and passenger.

    machone:

CHAdeMO in the press kit is marked as an option for all bikes.

The 2012 S stores a folded ~8 foot charge cable in the middle frame tube. The 2013 looks like it has the same hole. I leave it there and plug in with another cable.

    Lipo423 on electricmotorcycleforum points out:
As there is a lot of excitement about acceleration. Here are the Zero 2013 numbers...

    S: 5.3 seg
    XU: 5.5 seg
    FX: 3.9 seg
    MX: 4.3 seg

I have ridden the FX, & S models and I can tell you they are real. You basically gain + 100% vs 2012 models. The FX as I pointed out in a different thread is a rocket...
