    Thanks Tomdb =D
Didn't know that equation you showed. Sorry to go a little off topic here, but can a controller show me the speed I'm running if I set the size of the wheel in it? Because I think I've seen some controllers that show the speed you are running, but that can differ from wheel sizes.

Why would you do that, simple digital dashboards can do this way better by using the front wheel with a magnet or other form of encoder.

OK this is going slower then I hoped but at least I am making some progress.
I have my bike stripped and I have my motor and controller and delivered.
and a have a 5mm stainless mount plate.
I also have some terminals and a big crimper for attaching them if the 0/2aug cable ever turneds up (ebays priority international shipping is very bad).

Since you are in Ireland, try looking for a salvaged leaf pack. seen some batteries go for around 70 euros a module.

It's been a long time since i wrote anything on this but I have been tipping away
    001 almost bought this.jpg
    002 i did buy this(nsr125).jpg
    003 stripping it, de-icing.jpg
004 (de-iced) bike with motor in front for scale.jpg
008 motor mount stainless plate final 6mm thick.jpg

I have my motior mounted in a 6mm stainless steel bracket (probably overkill)
I have a my controller mount plate designed in wood and the aluminium is on the way.
    I have the contactor mounted.

I have DC-DC converter, batteries and charger on my wishlist.
I plan for four leaf cells to begin and I hope to get another four to extend range once i got the rest sorted.

I havent bought batteries yet and i have to say the idea of having something like that around makes me a little nervous, if people wouldn't mind listing any safety steps / items that they have (no matter how simple or obvious) please let me know!
