    Agreed, HAC = A+

What do you plan for your lower voltage limit? 3.6?

I'll start at 22*3.2 = 70 volts in my controller. Reasoning is if I hit 3.2 under acceleration current, my controller will cut back. I gotta see what the V sag is like after I pull 50 ah from them. My plan is to charge to 88 volts and not exceed -50ah. If the cells stay balanced ill forgo the addition of the mini-bms.

Well I got the modules roughly in place, only about .6" wider than the 40AH CALB's were. Sold all the SE40's on ebay....robot guys bought them up in 4's.

Yeah, been slow as I was in Vegas for 10 days, poker, sand rails, atvs, stripclubs, jet skiing. Now I need a staycation with the Mig & grinder.

Took a Frankenride today....really like the Leaf cells. Under full acceleration I went from 88v to 83 volts @240 amps. The Calbs sagged from 83v down to 68 at 240 amps. Now I need to upgrade the Kelly controller.

Very nice. Your quick progress makes me feel like a slacker. Didn't get any work done on my Ninja this weekend.

Really? Maybe I will forget about switching from Lead to Calbs
That is not a whole lot better than my 35 AH Lead Acid which sag from 87v down to 64 at 235 amps.

Well, not a fair comparison. At 88 volts the leaf cells are not fully charged. More like from 80 down to 68 for the CALB. The CALB's were MUCH better than the previous (6) 35AH AGMS I had! Half the weight, double the range, even power though out discharge and better power.

I went from a top speed of 70 with 14/72 gearing and 25 CALBS. Now hit 79 with the 11 Leaf modules same gearing. Finding 19mm sprockets with 6mm keyway is a pain. I found some 19mm units at Global but they don't state the keyway specs. Crossing my fingers. I do have a machinist buddy who can make me a step key.

Global 19mm keyway did have a 6mm keyway! Success and only $6.95 each.
