    Understanding Charger Amps

Newbie question: if I have 18650 cells (3.6v, 2.5ah) that have a max charge amp of 4.0, and I put them in parallel, does the max amp for charging multiply?

EG: could 4 in parallel charge with ~4v @ 16amps, while 4 in series would charge at something like ~15.5v @ 4.0 amps?

Yep you got the idea. More in parallel means more current to charge them at the same C rate.

Awesome, thanks. That's what I thought, but still a newbie, so I'm very thankful for your help.
