    An interesting battery article

    This article explains why new battery technology is so difficult to make it to the consumer market:

    Pretty good article. I hear EV fans, especially on the car sites, comparing battery development to electronics' exponential growth. They assume huge jumps in energy and power density in 5-10 years. The people actually involved in battery development are much less optimistic. Read this guy's early posts for an idea of how hard it is.


    Batteries are part electronics, part chemistry, and part engineering. Anything you do in one area affects the other two, often for the worse.
