Got the first mounting plate. The Manta 2 from Ebay DOES NOT fit the ME1507. The holes on the 1507 are different, also there's not enough clearance between the holes and the bend. I'll have to fabricate something for the ME1507. It does (barely) fit the ME1304. The holes could line up a little better, and there should be more clearance between motor and the bottom of the bracket at the bend, but it works.

Got the rear sprocket (28T) yesterday and got it installed in place of the old sprocket. Using one of the Amp front sprockets for the motor.

I got a Size 4 controller to try out from a Zero motorcycle. Will make a mount that can hold the size 4 or 6.

I got a 96V charger today and programmed with lithium profiles that should work well with a pack from 98V to 131V (over what the Sevcon can take) . I have a 72V charger if I need to go under 98V fully charged.

They're hard to find, since they're now built-to-order for OEM's. Some on ebay currently. Just be aware, I won't be using it to go to 131V. The Sevcon goes to 120V Max.

I got mine locally for $600 without engine and sold the Mychron 3 (Telemetry unit) they had in it for $125. I couldn't turn it down!

It's from a Zero motorcycle. I think it's some EMI/heat shielding they put on, not sure why. It was secondhand.

Also, it's not defective. I just needed to flash new firmware on it, it's fine now.

These are the modules that the VL41's go in. Pretty good stats. I think I could fit two modules into my frame if I don't use the casing.

When I worked for SAFT, I was making these.

very similar, but they were used for Base stations for cell towers (backup power) I don't know if they are the same cell, but the VL41's can go to 82 AH which is really great.

I will make contact with my old boss and see if I can get a group buy if there is interest. I might be able to get Flexion or Evolion cells (if there is a difference)

That would be cool. I know it's hard to get the attention of a company when you're a DIY guy.

If there was a group buy, I'd volunteer in handling it if we got the min buy to be enough.

Let me see how I like these cells when I get them next week.
