Really like your use of the mounts for the battery cage. How do you plan to cover the terminals etc?

Have you planned for mounting the motor yet?

Thanks Tyler! Battery terminals will have busbars nuts and nylon caps. Then a cover for the battery cage (can i call it a fairing?) I will fabricate out of 16ga sheet, with a layer of 1/8” ABS and another of thin foam rubber mat for added protection between the steel cover and the terminals.

Yes, the motor is contemplated and have already brought the mounting plate design to a machinist. It will be CNC’d from 3/8” aluminum. The space is incredibly tight and tolerances are minimal, I have put a lot of attention into maximizing power available to this machine. I hope to have the motor installed by next week.

Fabricated the housing for the controller in the space where the airbox/filter used to be, and conforming the design to employ the existing mounts. This will eventually offer some storage space beneath the seat, say for a bike lock and chain, and additional electrical components (contactor, 12v transformer, blinker switch) will be hung on the sides here as before.

Here is the design for the motor mount which should be completed this week, milled out of 3/8" aluminum plate. Simple and clean, clearances are ~5mm which is about as tight as it can be as an outrunner.

Here’s the finished motor plate with the revolt attached. Will get this and the handlebars and controls on the bike tomorrow after a good pressure wash to get all the old grease and dust off the frame.

The revolt had a custom shaft and the keyway was .003” too narrow, so had to take it to the machinist to correct. But here’s the plate in place alongside the newly connected battery stack.

Got the bike on the road a few days ago and it is incredible fun to ride. So much torque/pickup. Still working out how I am going to finish the fairing, but having an absolute blast with riding it already. Cheers

Barring some smoothing to the edges I'd change very little about them - maybe finish to MV grey.
