Hi from Tasmania BMW K100 Electric.

Hi guys. Been on this build for 2 years now.Health and dollars seem to be the only hold ups.
Decided to repurpose my daily drive to electric.
BMW K100 roller. Curtis 1236se 72 volt controller. Headway 24s 2p (will add to pack with $$$) EVIC screen
For instrumentation. Motor is a rewound 3 phase induction motor, design compliments to Ivan from Ivans Garage in Sonoma. DC/DC converter for all things 12 volt. 1.5 kw onboard charger ,can programable.
Led lighting. Water cooled controller, and heaps of hours. Programming the settings this week for the motor set up.Hope to spin a wheel soon. Cheers Nifty. Ps, i kept the box and clutch.

Ya … the photo album on this site is a learning curve all on its own LOL. I still have trouble getting the photos rotated correctly from time to time!

How did you interface the motor with the transmission/clutch?

Hi Spaceweasle. Made a new clutch center bolted to the clutch basket of plates etc. Keyway on motor shaft to fit center, same offsets all round just a different input,ie, electric motor. Made in conjunction with the adapter plate so all bolts up neat.Time will tell how the box /motor combo works.Bronze bush in end of motor shaft to center the box input shaft.Am trying to upload more as i can, stay tuned.
