Eco friendly is the word of today when the whole world is striving to save the planet. Taking the endeavor forward, there are cars on their way to conservationistsÂ’ goal of zero emissions. The era when muscle cars ruled the roads is about to face tough competition from the high performance green vehicles of the future.

Catch these green rides fresh from the most inventive Eco-friendly minds on Discovery Turbo's premiere series 'Mean Green Machines'. 'Mean Green Machines' is a turbocharged thrill ride, jam-packed with the latest, fastest, and greenest vehicles, bikes and even air-crafts. These machines are hot off the prototype assembly line and fresh from the most inventive Eco-friendly minds in the world.

The 10-part series 'Mean Green Machines' will air from Monday to Friday at 11:30 pm on Discovery Turbo. The series was premiered on September 13, 2010

In these ten episodes, environmental friendly machines are pitted against their fuel-injected twins. While the green machines may appear identical to the gas-powered machines on the exterior, one look under the hood reveals that they are always worlds apart and the test results can be shocking.

The machines battle for the first place by competing in four performance challenges: endurance, speed, power and agility. Whether an engineering professor challenges his electric drag bike to a race with one of the world's fastest gas motorcycle drag racers, or a gas-guzzling SUV seizes the opportunity to speed alongside a SUV fuelled by Bio diesel, the outcome is often a surprise.

Beyond the adrenaline rush of the fast-paced, nail-biting challenges, 'Mean Green Machines' offers the first glimpses into the next generation of green machines.
