" It would be akin to long endurance 24 hr le Mans type races where tires are swapped routinely, drivers switch out and batteries would be swapped out. It makes more sense with motorcycles than cars.
Not to mention that apartment livers can pop off the battery to help prevent theft of their bike. "

Got the tank cleaned yesturday

And during fine sunday noon got it filled and painted to stop it from rusting again,
as its on the inside i did not need to worry about paint-run

received my domino throttle and installed it

and milled up a new cover for the tank (glued on using a tiny amout of silicone for waterproofing.

" Can you imagine the e-racer going into the pits and instead of fast filling the fuel tank, the old battery was yanked out of the chassis and a new battery was stuffed into the bike, before it entered the race again? That would make for an interesting bit of retraining for your typical pit crew. "

" I think it would be awesome in mx and roadracing.... the guy with the best batts wins the race. The standardized mounting doesn't mean that all the batts have to be identicle.... just the mounting hardware or interface "
