Version 2 will has a few adjustments to the design. I'll make the handle bars slightly wider at the elbows and increase the front fork centreline offset from the bike to allow the wheel to turn a...
Last ride of the Batpod V1. Now working on V2.

Chargery's reply. "your consideration is correct, DCC is built-in arc-suppression circuit, generally, the DCC should be installed on the positive, but the DCC has mosfet, don't drive it on...
Lots to take in here. I better read up on contactors so I have a better understanding of there specs. They are sold in differing amp ratings so you'd assume he's selling a functional product. But...
I'm trying to determine if I am stuck or if I can fit it to the positive lead or it has suitable safety hardware built in. I bought a BMS24t which looked good with all the bells and whistles and...
Version 2 will be very similar. But I'll be using Vee Rubber monster tires and have a battery with a 10c rating. Current battery is 60amps which is a little limiting. Just a question on BMS...
I was drawing up my circuit for the next bike with a Kelly Controller. The Controller wants the circuit breakers and contactors fitted on the positive wire. The BMS unit breaks the circuit on the...
What BMS units are you guys using? My headway cells are on the way.
Painting done... V2 is soon to start..

Has anyone in Australia recently purchased Headway 8ah cells? Im looking to make another 24s2p battery.

That's a very popular question. To which I reply, enough to cover the cost of completing this one and building another with a crappy exchange rate from US to AU to purchase the parts. Also some...
It's been a while since my last post. The bike is almost done. Just finishing off the cannons.

Dang it!! Just broke another throttle.. no more cheap china crap. Got a domino on the way.
Fitted the laser for the guided weapons systems. ;)

Not sure the brand. It wasn't expensive. I purchased it from Mark when he sent over his motor, Kelly controller and other bits.
Who sells a throttle that wont brake where the plastic and metal parts clamp the handle bars? My budget throttle just broke.
I'm in Geelong. Canon tip printed.

Been working on other things of late, but had a chance to mill one of the front cannons.

Still slowly progressing. Made some brackets and mounted the arm guards. Now to finish them off and give them some paint.

Just thinking out loud as I've no idea if this would work, but put a throttle on the left handle bar so you'd need to rotate it backward to activate the regen braking and maybe a thumb button stitch...
yep. I made parts for my larger CNC on my small CNC. Works fines.
I've been working on trailer that I just got it registered. 4.1 metres long.
Here's a pic of it almost finished.

I really like the look of this bike... perhaps I should make something a little more functional once I've completed the Pod.
ok... problem solved. Must have needed a load. Getting 13.1v with the 100k resistor across SC to +. I hope that provides enough voltage.
