Awesome project!
You got it. B48601 returns an extended frame message where the bytes go into A-F.
Keep in mind temperatures and amps are signed, so you have to use 2's complement to get the correct positive or...
By the way, bike is looking awesome!
Code 28 is motor temp hot cutback. That sounds more like a bad connection to the temp sensor.
Glad you got it working. Yes, you either need interlock connected to controller 12V or set it to type...
I put the spacer/cover models (Solidworks, STEP, and STL) on Grabcad:

Leaf module also posted (Solidworks and STEP):

Had a better idea for the large hole covers. Pics of new cover/spacers and 4 module assembly.

It is definitely tight but looks it'll fit. Do you have a 92 or 93? I think there are some slight changes between years.
First set of spacer/covers printed.

I did too. But, the new pack will be a cleaner look overall with its own style. Not to mention more range, power, and a smaller package.
I'll put the 3D file up on grabcad once I've tested...
Update:
-busbars and mid-pack fuse in place
-plastic pieces designed that are combo spacers / covers for openings in the cell casing
-plastic covers for busbars / terminals
-rubber pieces...
It has been LOOOOONG time since I had time to work on the bike. About 3 years, which happens to be the age of my son.
I finally got back to fitting the Leaf cells I bought a while back. I...

You're not getting message 18FF50E5 back from the charger which means a bad CAN connection. Check wiring continuity.

NICE!
The Eltek will talk to anything that sends/receives the correct CAN messages. They use standard CAN frames, so in principle you should be able to program another device to work with them. The Orion...
Hmmm... Check with HPEVS. All their software for the last 4 years works with Orion, as far as I know.
There's a way to turn BMS on with menu button programming instead of Curtis programmer. Read...
It's in user settings, custom code from HPEVS so won't be in the Curtis manual. "BMS installed" should be on.

Is BMS turned on in the controller programming?
Bummer.
Reading a DC voltage won't tell you much since it's an oscillating signal.
2 things to check:
-are you sure the CAN bus is working on the BMS end? Test with something else, not going...
You don't need to connect the ground on the controller side. It's just the shield so having it on one side is sufficient.
Make sure the BMS and controller are using the same baud rate (kbps). In...
Induction motor motors are asynchronous so the stator field speed will be faster than the rotor. Field speed is 120*frequency / # of poles.
Stator frequency.

The B&B CANOP is the standard solution for interfacing with a non-isolated Curtis and is recommended by HPEVS. The main issues are size and that it's not very rugged. The one you found on ebay looks...
A "48V" lithium battery will be around 58V fully charged. That's why the 4834 allows up to 60V. A 48V contactor coil will handle the same range. You won't be able to use a "60V" lithium battery since...
