The other benefit is if I have the room I can add more batteries in the future to make it 72v,
It's all part of the experience of going where few have tread before. I guess I will have to work out the gear ratios to get the best of accelleration Vs distance for my paticular setup.
I ordered the batteries today as I decided to go 48v rather than 72v. luckily the motor and controller will work at both voltages MEO709 motor and Alltrax 7245 controller.

Found out today that my 100ah batteries are still 6 weeks away from being delivered. Still there is alot of other work to do.
