Yeah, I gotta credit all the other folks that I stole this idea from (Splinter and Moon especially).

    Noah,

Where did you order your ME1003? Also, do you have an update on the Headways you were looking in to purchasing? Its looking great so far, I'm interested to see how it continues!

I ordered the 1003 from EVdrives.com. The have the best price, and I've dealt with them before. Nice folks.

Headways are looking good. I tested a batch of about 20 and so far they look healthy.

Speaking of Headways, I did a little CAD over the weekend. Looks like the battery frame I designed is going to work.

1/2" HDPE sheets on the way. Got them really cheap from a local company, Colorado Plastics. $36 for a 1/2" thick, 24x48 sheet in black. No shipping since they're about 10 minutes away

24s6p was what i am looking at for my headway count , im still doing the BMS dance ! You got to that stage of the think yet ? be interested to see how you get there...............everytime i read something i think its a little clearer and then i read something else and it turns to mud LOL
And on a foot note about the plastic sheet Grainger the tool catalog people have a fantastic range of HDPE sizes and thicknesses and there prices seem reasonable ,been buying plastic sheet from them for a while.

I'm probably going to end up with miniBMS. Right now, I dont' know of any other centralized BMS in the <$1000 price range. Elithion has a distributed BMS that works with Headways, but it's pricey (about $1200 for 24S I think).

Grainger (and Drillspot, which is basically Grainger lite) are pretty good. Although, I ordered a piece of 12x24x1/2" HDPE and it arrived with a slight bend. Might be the shipper's fault, looks like something was sitting on top of the box.

Luckily, this was just for experimenting to figure out machining feeds and speeds. But if I needed a flat piece, it wouldn't be usable.

I'm going to see if they'll send me another one.
