So what happened to the Enertia

The looks of the Enertia was one of my greatest disappointments when I was following the early elmoto industry.

I love the aggressive lines of the empulse, but I really like the simple lines of the Enertia. I wanted it purely as a commuter. Not having ridden one, it looks like it would have done the job well.
I can see where kids would not like it. I wanted a CBR when I was young. Living in Asia, I've owned several bikes in the 110 to 400cc range, mostly commuter style bikes, so I'm happy with function over coolness. (I still appreciate cool though.)

What I am happy to hear is that other companies are filling the void left by Brammo. I guess where I'm sad is, between zero and brammo, I thought brammo was the one that would survive. So, I would have backed the wrong horse...

Function and style are not mutually exclusive .
I am certainly not a kid, but the Enertia looks like a humidifier with wheels to me.
Kudos for their initiative, and helping to advance a young industry. lt's a shame they didn't make it. I was hopeful when they were bought that good things were still to come. Perhaps they held on to the transmission too long.

My observation is that Brammo could have done well, but its founder just lost interest in the motorcycle business once the development of the Empulse had been completed. I spent a half hour talking with the guy about 5 years ago and I could see that he had no interest in running a business and was just having fun developing a new product. I think there are a number of creative people like that who start up new and innovative business and then either sell out, or have everything implode around them (like Skully).
