Curtis 1236Se-6521 and ME1115 good match?

I am planning to convert from DC (Alltrax AXE7245 & ME1003) to AC (Curtis 1236SE and
ME1115) on my motorcycle.

Is it good match?

It is not much space in my frame and since ME1115 have almost same diameter and shaft size as ME1003 the conversion should be easier.

Yes, as long as you get it paired from where you buy it as a kit. I'd say order from Thunderstruck, and make sure that it's the right controller for your motor.

So you saying it is difficult to program it correct right at home?

I think I got a programmer with controller and controller is programmed for ME1616.

Yes, they're not straightforward to do yourself from my experience. Not unless you have experience. I'd order a matched pair motor/inverter. Otherwise you could spend months of work getting it to work right.

Small update. Found a manual for Curtis OS31 which describes auto-characterization controller run it self.

It took 60 seconds. I dont know if is enough or if I need to adjust more things later, but at least it runs in right direction
