If the weight of the drive wheel is properly sprung and dampened, it could be used to actually improve drivability and torque. I wonder how well it could survive big bumps in an offroad version.
I still think electric hydraulic loops would be a good way to drive motorcycles... lighter and easier to add 2 wheel drive.
But this is awesome engineering for a street bike.
