Any news on the 2011 bike?

Anxiously awaiting news from Lighting on their 2011 race bike. They set a goal of dropping 80kgs and adding 40-50hp. I was wondering how close they got?

I sent a message to Lightnings mechanic, and got back, " Under Gag Order from the Boss". Must be some serious tweaking going on ???

I REALLY hope that's what it is. Seeing their website appears to be gone has me much more concerned about if they will even be back. Do you think that's unrealistic fear?

I don't blame them for putting a gag order on. I'm a blabber mouth.

I'm not comfortable pushing for answers, so, I'm just going to quietly sit and wait. Might have something to do with the rules ?? Hope this doesn't push competitors out of the series.

Well, here are the facts:

1. Last years bike is over this year's weight limit.

2. Mr. Hatfield said in an interview on www.egrandprix.tv 's VIR round, that their goal for this years bike was to be 80kg lighter and 40-50 more hp.

3. The economy sucks.

4. When asked about this years bike, the reply is that there is a gag order.


So I don't think dropping 50lbs to fit under the weight limit is that big of a concern, considering what their goal was. But, I am not sure they sold any bikes this year. Azhar didn't seem to think they had. But he also didn't seem to have seen the interview on his own website. Please don't push. I just thought maybe you had been in regular contact and could assure me I was over reacting, and everything was going to be ok.

Actually, I just have informal contact with the Mechanic. He is easy to talk with, so, I just asked about updates. Believe me, I have NO inside contacts, or, any privileged info. Just a guy that likes the E Movement, and EBike racing.

I went to that same link like 3 times last night, and all I got was one of those buy this domain type of pages. Maybe just a glitch?
